Twitter Ad Fixer

Browser extension Last updated 18 July 2026

Overview

Twitter Ad Fixer is a browser extension that changes the appearance and destination link of one specific inline "Get verified" promotional element on twitter.com and x.com. This policy describes, in full, everything the extension does with data. There is nothing beyond what is written here.

Data collection

Twitter Ad Fixer does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data of any kind.

Specifically, it does not:

  • Collect personal information, browsing history, or account data
  • Use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting
  • Make any network requests
  • Store data in local storage, cookies, or any other persistence mechanism
  • Share any data with the developer or any third party

How it works

The extension runs a content script only on twitter.com and x.com. That script reads the page's existing DOM to find one specific ad element and replaces its text, icon, and link entirely on your device, inside your browser. No data about you, your account, or your browsing activity ever leaves your browser.

Permissions

The extension requests host permissions for twitter.com and x.com only, so its content script can run on those pages. No other Chrome permissions are requested.

Remote code

The extension does not load, execute, or evaluate any remote code. All JavaScript is bundled in the installed extension package.

Changes to this policy

If this extension's behavior changes in a way that affects user data, this policy will be updated accordingly, with the date above revised.
